The Future of Summer Library Programs

No, this isn’t a philosophical, futuristic essay, or a call to action lest Summer Library Programs be cut (though I’m sure we could have a blog post about that some day, too). It’s a heads-up about the themes chosen by the Collaborative Summer Library Program group for 2012, 2013 and 2014. I know you are madly finishing planning for 2011, but just in case you like to keep your ear to the ground for ideas in the future, here’s the latest information. 2012 Theme and Slogans(this is old news, but I had forgotten it): General theme: Night time Kids: Dream Big–Read Teens: Own the Night Adults: Between the Covers 2013 Theme and Slogans (slogans just decided last week!) General Theme: Underground Kids: Dig into Reading Teens: Beneath the Surface Adults: Groundbreaking Reads 2014 Theme (slogans to be determined next year): General theme (to be fleshed out more, I assume): Science
