If you feel like there’s really a lot going on, you’re not wrong! Happy summer, y’all!
In case you missed it: ARSL’s grant email
These grants were listed in ARSL’s newsletter from various sources:
- Community Heart and Soul grant
- Believe in Reading
- Courage Project Award
- FOR PATRONS: Literacy Everywhere Contest
- Demco free grant search
There’s so much great stuff on their website: https://www.arsl.org/
Important note: postcard project
- Last week’s social media share had a problematic graphic (a person holding a postcard, and signaling “okay” with her hand. Apparently, this is associated with white supremacy. If you used that image on your website, please replace it. If you posted that image on social media, there’s no way to really make it go away. You can remove the post if you’d like, or just continue posting. Updated image here.
- If you need more postcards, submit a HelpDesk ticket. I ordered 300 more from Milwaukee, I’ll send out on a first-come, first-served basis.
- If you’re planning a big push, let me know and I’ll print more. There’d be about a 2-week turnaround from your request to them landing in your library through courier.
- All postcards, including those with postage attached, should be sent back to IFLS around July 15. Please don’t send postcards home with people to mail themselves.
- Questions? Email Reb (kilde@ifls.lib.wi.us). Lots of resources on the state advocacy toolkit: https://libraries.work/
Explore MORE Passport Program
Well, shoot. Brandi (CFPL) noticed that 3 of her 100 postcards were missing pages 4 to 5. Could you check yours? Return them to me and I’ll replace them with complete postcards. On Monday, I’ll send out a patch for already-in-use passports.
I’ll be printing more stickers for those of you who requested them on Monday, and they’ll go out in courier. Need more stickers or passports? Plan ahead, courier is taking most of a week. Submit a HelpDesk ticket to order more.
If you didn’t get your passport packet, please let Reb know asap. Thanks!
